Growing up so fast!

Over the last 2-3 weeks, Ryan has grown and changed so much! It is so exciting, yet somewhat sad too :-)

She is starting to sit on her own and is doing great! She's a little wobbly but overall is staying upright.

She has also started the wonders of baby food. We've been giving her rice cereal for several weeks, but this morning she tried her first real food....Avocado. That's right, avocado! She loved it!!! I've been doing a lot of research about good, healthy first foods and turns out avocado is a good choice. Well, Ryan agreed! haha.

She has also started saying "dada dada" like nobody's business :-) It is all we hear all of the time. Matthew is loving it! She has also become much more interested in Jack and Gracie. Jack isn't so sure about her but Gracie hangs pretty close to her, especially if she is on the floor (as you'll see in the pictures). Hope you enjoy these pics of her new milestones!

Happy 5 Months Ryan!!
Here are some pics of what she loves to spend her day doing, other than being with Nanny Gig :)
She is getting so big and is so much fun!!

She LOVES her jumping play-gym thing (not sure of the exact name :-). She literally would stay in there all day if we would let her....other than feeding time of course.

This is her play horse "Ryan", yes that is it's real name :-) Only my mother could find something so cute with the same name! It is so neat!! Every piece of it is interactive and stimulating. She loves it! The mane and ears are her favorite right now because they make a "crinkling" sound when she grabs them. I can't wait for her to be big enough to sit on her own. I know she will play with it for hours!!

This is her first time rolling over!! belly-to-back. She was stunned. She does not like it at all therefore has not done it since :-) but we're working on it! She is doing much, much better on her tummy these days though, that's a start!

Such a doll!! There really are not enough words to
express how much I love her and how much she has
blessed our world.

Let it snow, let it snow!

It has snowed 2 times already in Ryan's short life and both were memorable. The first occurred on Christmas Day, a white Christmas! The second this wekk and was the largest snow seen in SC in over 2 decades! We had about 6 inches at our house and up to 10-12 in surrounding areas.

Matthew and I could not get out on Monday, which was such a blessing! Being together as a family on a surprise day was so much fun :-) We cuddled on the couch, watched a movie, and of course took Ryan out in the snow. She lasted for about 2 minutes, haha! She loved being outside but the second I put her down near the snow she began screaming, thus ending our time outside. Ryan is 5 months old today (pics and update about her at this age in the next few days). She is such a sweet girl and such a blessing to us!

Love everyone!!
